It's almost the new year! I'm sitting down today and nutting out how I'm going to do the things I want to do (i.e. all the things), including an Indie Annual, a picture book, a more regular blog, and more non-fiction. What are your goals for 2017?

I'm maintaining my writing chain, with a commitment to write every single day for at least 250 words (I can do that even when I'm sick or traveling; my "normal" day goal is 800). I'm at almost 1200 days in a row written now. I keep a calendar and a documentation spreadsheet that help make sure the words are on the right projects for meeting deadlines.
I'm also planning to read 52 books again, one per week.
Neither of these feel like new projects. They're just "rinse and repeat" from last year.
My new stuff this year:
I'm going to cook one new thing each week.
I'm going to read a poem everyday. Poetry has fallen out of my life and it used to mean so much to me.
